The Martin Linge field in the North Sea is an oil and gas discovery made in 1978, previously called Hild. The field is located 42 kilometres west of Oseberg, at a water depth of 115 metres. Equinor became the operator of the Martin Linge field in March 2018, and the field came on stream on 30 June 2021.
Martin Jensen Linge, DSC (11 December 1894 – 27 December 1941) was a Norwegian actor who, in World War II, became the commander of the Norwegian Independent Company 1 (NOR.I.C.1) (pronounced as Norisen by the Norwegians), formed in March 1941 for operations on behalf of the Special Operations Executive.

With good operational performance since the field came on stream in June and high oil and gas prices, the investments in the field are expected to be recovered in full during 2022.

Situated 180km off the coast of Norway near the border of the UK sector of the North Sea, the field is estimated to contain recoverable resource of more than 300 million barrels oil equivalent (Mboe).

The Martin Linge field development comprises a jacket-based integrated wellhead, production and accommodation platform and a permanently anchored oil storage vessel. The oil is processed on the storage vessel and transported from the field in shuttle tankers to the market.

Han ledet en norsk-britisk spesialavdeling, senere kjent som Kompani Linge, fra starten høsten 1940 til han falt i kamp med tyske styrker under Måløy-raidet i romjulen 1941.
