Jim Kaat is a left-handed pitcher who played 21 seasons in the major leagues from 1960 to 1982. He won 16 Gold Gloves, pitched in three All-Star games and one World Series, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022.
Kaat was an All-Star for three seasons and a Gold Glove winner for 16 seasons. He was the American League (AL) leader in shutouts (5) in 1962, and the AL leader in wins (25) and complete games (19) in 1966. In addition to his 283 career wins, he has three 20-win seasons.

Kaat led the Twins to the 1965 World Series with an 18-11 record, then started Games 2, 5 and 7 of the Fall Classic against the Dodgers, going 1-2 with a 3.77 earned-run average in Minnesota’s seven-game loss.
5 de dic. de 2021 · Jim Kaat, who pitched in four decades and won 189 games for the Twins, was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Golden Days Era Committee in 2022. He will join Tony Oliva and other former Twins teammates in Cooperstown on July 24.
