National Park Seminary — later called National Park College — was a private girls' school open from 1894 to 1942. Located in Forest Glen Park, Maryland, its name alludes to nearby Rock Creek Park. The historic campus is to be preserved as the center of a new housing development.
National Park Seminary (NPS) is a unique residential community of single family homes, condominiums, townhouses and apartments in the Forest Glen section of Silver Spring, MD, just inside the Capital Beltway. NPS was a resort hotel from 1887 to 1893, a school for young women from 1894 to 1942, and a U.S. Army medical facility from 1942 to 2004.
