The University of Gloucestershire is a public university based in Gloucestershire, England. It is located over three campuses, two in Cheltenham and one in Gloucester. In March 2021, the university purchased the former Debenhams store in Gloucester City Centre, with a new campus due to open there in 2023.

University of Gloucestershire Rankings. 112th in the Times University Guide 2024; 104th in the Guardian University Guide 2024; 47% of the University’s total REF submission was judged world leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*), with the Art and Design submission rated 78% 3 or 4* and Sport and Exercise achieving 71% in the top two bands.

We’re proud of our performance in the recent 2021 Research Excellence Framework, having made 13 submissions to 13 Units of Assessment (UOA), more than doubling the number of subject areas submitted to the last REF in 2014.
