Danielle Stampe as Slymenstra Hymen with two fans after a performance with Brothers Grim Sideshow on August 9, 2003 in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Stampe joined Gwar in 1988 and developed the Slymenstra Hymen character. Stampe (as Hymen) contributed backup vocals on most Gwar albums during her time with the band.

In Gwar lore, Slymenstra hails from the planet Clitosphere, a peaceful planet ruled by women. She is largely responsible for keeping GWAR's slaves under control. She often refers to herself as a goddess, and doesn't let anyone treat her any other way.

My very first show with GWAR was with the Butthole Surfers and it was terrifying. We also played at Danzig’s very first show – I can’t remember if it was New York or New Jersey.
