Lena Herzog is a Russian-born American artist who explores themes of ritual, loss and dislocation through photography, sound, installation and VR. She has published six books of her work and created Last Whispers, an immersive oratorio of vanishing languages and dying stars.
Like in her previous works, Herzog conceived Any War Any Enemy at the intersection of art and science, combining cutting-edge experimental techniques with centuries-old artistic practices. Through a black mirror, murals, and ten mezzotints, the project takes on a complex “multimodal” configuration.
