Since 1979 White has played in the Young Tuxedo Brass Band, founded by clarinetist John Casimir sometime in the 1940s. [5] .

Jazz Journal. - 28 February 2020. 4276. With this, Wynton Marsalis has come up with his most interesting album thus far. That is not to say that it is entirely flawless, but it kindles a spark too often absent from the twin horn, post-hard bop quintet albums that seem to proliferate.
White still leads that band, as well as the Liberty Brass Band or the Michael White Quartet. White is also well-known for his long association Wynton Marsalis. He was a key player on the 1989 release, The Majesty of the Blues.
