Blondel is an album released by the band Amazing Blondel in 1973. It is the first album without the founding member John David Gladwin, and features Steve Winwood on bass, and Simon Kirke of the Free on drums.
A decision was made to keep the music fairly acoustic on this album although bass and drums were added for the first time, courtesy of guests Steve Winwood and Simon Kirke. Eddie's liberal use of 12 string guitars here is reminiscent of Genesis' Trespass or Anthony Phillips' Geese & The Ghost.
