Hydra is an American Southern rock band founded in 1970 by Spencer Kirkpatrick (guitar), Wayne Bruce (vocals and guitar), Steve Pace (drums) and Orville Davis (bass). In 1977, it became a three-piece band (with Wayne Bruce now on bass) and the band broke up later that year.
Steve Pace is an Australian-born Maltese drummer, percussionist, and photographer who has performed as a musician on several Wiggles albums. On occasion, Pace has also written songs with the group and performed with them as a backing musician during live concerts.
After the release and promotion of 1982's One Vice at a Time, Freddy Steady left Krokus and was replaced by American drummer Steve Pace, the first non-European member of the group; when asked the following year about the lineup change, Storace claimed that it was made due to "musical direction and technical ability".
