Arto Lindsay started a new urban sound with the album previous to this one, O corpo sutil (The Subtle Body). He uses the experience from the noise, Jazz and No Wave experiments in New York during the 80s and from his work in the group Ambitious Lovers, and introduces Brazilian influences, which are the central ingredient of the new sound.
