History. Living Death was formed in 1981 in Velbert, North Rhine-Westphalia, [1] by Reiner and Dieter Kelch, and Frank Fricke, starting out as a simple heavy metal band. In 1981, drummer Frank Schubring and vocalist Thorsten "Toto" Bergmann joined.
Living Death wurden 1980 von den Brüdern Reiner und Dieter Kelch in Velbert gegründet. Mit Sänger Thorsten „Toto“ Bergmann, dem zweiten Gitarristen Frank Fricke und dem Schlagzeuger Frank Schubring war die erste Besetzung komplett. Im Jahr 1982 brachte die Band ihr erstes selbstbetiteltes Demo heraus.
Vincent St. Johns (real name Reiner Kelch) on guitar and backing vocals; Keil (real name Wolfgang Borgmann) on vocals; Debut album Ralph Hubert, founder of the band. The debut album Mekong Delta was released in 1987, produced by Ralf Hubert.

Years active: 1981-1991, 2008-? After the release of Worlds Neuroses in 1989, Toto, Fred, and Atomic Steif left the band. While they formed a new band under the name L.D.. The remaining Living Death members and brothers Reiner Kelch and Dieter Kelch reformed the band with three new members.
