The Buckinghams are an American pop band from Chicago. They formed in 1966 and went on to become one of the top-selling acts of 1967, charting their only five top 40 hits in the U.S. that year. The band dissolved in 1970, but re-formed in 1980 and as of 2022 [update] they continue to tour throughout the United States.
The Buckinghams had a string of sublime sunshine-pop hits in 1967, including “Kind of a Drag”, “Don’t You Care”, “Hey Baby (They’re Playing Our Song)”, and “Susan” (the last two of which are on this album), making them one of the top-selling musical acts of that tumultuous year.
