Marie Luise von Hammerstein (1908–1999), later Marie Luise Baroness of Münchhausen, was a friend of Werner Scholem, who was shot at KZ Buchenwald in 1940. From 1937 until 1951 she was in a second marriage with Ernst-Friedemann Freiherr von Münchhausen. The couple separated after the war.
