Hannigan’s album as both singer and conductor with LUDWIG, Crazy Girl Crazy (2017), won numerous awards, including a Grammy and an Edison award. Other recent albums include Vienna: fin de siècle, and Erik Satie’s Socrate, both with Reinbert de Leeuw.

It is a godsend to hear them brought to life with such care and precision as they get from Barbara Hannigan and Reinbert DeLeeuw. And then there is Socrate, the sublimely static Platonic cantata that many consider Satie's masterpiece.
