Hearts and Bones is the sixth solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Paul Simon. It was released in 1983 by Warner Bros. Records.
The second track is the title cut Hearts and Bones. This is a tender, folksy acoustic number painted with splotches of an oscillating keyboard sound. It was written about Paul Simon’s brief marriage to actress Carrie Fisher. The first and last verse opens with this classic Simon lyric: One and one half wandering Jews….
