Charlie Mechling has been a member of Straight No Chaser since its inception in 1996. After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Music and Theatre, he moved to Atlanta, where he and ill-fated singing group 10 to 5 were quickly signed by RCA Records.
In June of 2022 original member Charlie Mechling left the group to be home with his family. The group replaced him with talented musician and vocal percussionist Freedom Young. Awards

29 de mar. de 2022 · I’ve performed (at our last/best count) more than 1300 shows in every state of the union (except ND!), and in 18 countries on three different continents. I have made friends for life, within the group and outside as well. I have met Chasers all across the US and the globe.
