Flash Light is Tom Verlaine's fifth solo album. After a three-year hiatus, during which Verlaine lived in both New York and Europe, he released the album with a large amount of promotion and touring in the UK.
Andy Newmark: Drums. Three years had passed since the release of "Cover", during which Verlaine lived in England, Portugal and France as well as the U.S., and some of the songs on "Flashlight were written here. In fact, when the album was first released it was only available in the U.S. on import.
Andrew Newmark (born July 14, 1950) is an American session drummer who was a member of Sly and the Family Stone and has played with George Harrison, John Lennon, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Carly Simon, Ron Wood and Roxy Music.

31 de may. de 2019 · The known 10 tracks from these sessions are sometimes called the ‘Bascombe sessions’, the ‘1986 London sessions’, the ‘Lost Album’ - or the ‘10 B-sides’ (as the tracks later appeared on b-sides of various Verlaine UK single releases). Subsequently, Verlaine recorded the album Flash Light (1987).
