Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds is a studio double album by American-born British musician, composer, and record producer Jeff Wayne, released on 9 June 1978 by CBS Records.

Somewhere, I still have a vinyl copy of this masterpiece, properly titled "Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds' ". It was a favorite of mine back in the day, blending the best of audio drama and progressive rock music, narrated by Richard Burton. It's great fun to hear it again after so many years.
