Catherine Simon (born June 15, 1953) is an American portrait photographer and writer. She is known for her photographs of influential musicians, artists, and writers, including The Clash , Patti Smith , Madonna , Andy Warhol , and William S. Burroughs . [4]
Talking through some of her most iconic shots of Marley and reggae legends such as Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Simon gave the audience a rare first-hand perspective about the legendary musician, having been part of his inner circle photographing him hundreds of times over the years and accompanying him on the Exodus Tour.

She was born Kaila Grobsmith in Warsaw, Poland to Jewish parents, David, a shoe designer, and Lonia (née Babicz), a corsetiere.
