It was released in 1987, a year after their previous release, Another Wasted Night, in 1986. It was their first for a major record label – Roadrunner Records – after leaving independent punk label, Taang. Chris Doherty and Brian Betzger were the only surviving members from the previous album.

Brian Betzger left to start a pool hall and was replaced in a touring capacity by Walter Gustafson – the drummer in the band who left in 1984. Gustafson left before this album and was replaced once again, by Brian Betzger.
