12 de dic. de 2019 · Casey McDonough. By Joe Gagliardo. If you spend any time listening to live music in Chicago, you have likely been fortunate to see Casey McDonough on the bandstand playing his Black Fender Musicmaster, modified with a P Bass pickup, through a Fender Bassman TV Amp.
In between rehearsals and recording, I was able to talk a bit with Casey McDonough, who also serves as NRBQ’s bassist, about the Flat Five’s origins, some of their side projects, and what they have in store for the coming months. REBEAT: How did the Flat Five come about?
Casey McDonough is a Chicago-based singer/songwriter/musician. A multi-instrumentalist, Casey plays bass in NRBQ and The Flat Five (Chicago)
Casey McDonough received a BS in Marine Science and a BA in Studio Art from Eckerd College in 2003 and an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2007. He has been a resident artist at the Morean Center for Clay, Red Lodge Clay Center and the Hjorring Kunstmuseum in Denmark, as well as apprentice to Don Reitz.
