20 de mar. de 2020 · Angular Blues is a trio album with two regular associates, the great Brian Blade on drums and Scott Colley playing warm-toned double bass. The first third of the album features acoustic guitar as moods shift from sunny and pastoral through the sharper edges of the title track before the lovely folk ballad ‘Hüttengriffe’.

Muthspiel, Colley and Blade recorded Angular Blues in Tokyo’s Studio Dede after a three-night run at the city’s Cotton Club.
