Cold War Kids are an American indie rock band from Long Beach, California. Band members are Nathan Willett (vocals, piano, guitar), Matt Maust (bass guitar), David Quon (guitar, backing vocals), Matthew Schwartz (keyboards, backing vocals, guitar, percussion), and Joe Plummer (drums, percussion).
Cold War Kids grew more anthemic, and more popular, as time went on: 2017's L.A. Divine, which celebrated the mythos of their adopted hometown as well as the power of sweeping rock, made the Top Ten of Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart.
A little over a month ago, indie mainstays Cold War Kids released their very first live album. Audience was recorded live September 24th, 2017 in Athens, Georgia. During their supporting tour for this album, we got the chance to chat with frontman Nathan Willet and drummer Matt Maust.
