The Bothy Band made its debut on 2 February 1975 at Trinity College, Dublin. Three studio album career. In 1975 the Bothy Band released their eponymous first album on Mulligan Records (in Ireland; Green Linnet Records in US; Polydor Records in UK).
This album changed all that, a heady mix of virtuoso pipes, fiddle an flute underpinned by an equal number of accompanists who kicked ass as well as many heavy metal bands of the day! At time of writing this album is over 30 years old but still manages to hit the spot.
