CCAD was founded by five women who envisioned a place where artists could learn and grow from one another. And from that point forward we’ve worked to make that vision a reality. OUR HISTORY. Website. www.ccad.edu. Columbus College of Art & Design ( CCAD) is a private art school in Columbus, Ohio. It was founded in 1879 as the Columbus Art School and is one of the oldest private art and design colleges in the United States.
Youth & Community Learning is proud to offer over 20 unique classes for artists and designers at all levels in our studios, taught by professional artists and educators. Many families have financial barriers to the valuable enrichment that programs such as Saturday Morning Art Classes and Creative Summer Workshops offer.
