This set recorded in Africa around the mid 90s is a pure rhythm festival pushing the boundaries of his afro fusion agenda. Tony Scott (born Anthony Joseph Sciacca June 17, 1921 - March 28, 2007) was an American jazz clarinetist and arranger with an interest in folk music around the world.
His unique vision for cool jazz and bop was imbued with elements of Indonesian and Afro sounds and this set shows that. It was recorded in Africa in the mid 90s and is a celebration of forward thinking rhythmic fusion that has a truly physical impact.
