According to the artist, the time lords are people able to go back in time and destroy your past, leaving you unable to leave your mark on the world.
He released three albums as Terence Trent D’Arby between 1989 and 1995 and six – including his latest The Rise of the Zugebrian Time Lords – as Sananda Maitreya, starting with 2001’s The Wildcard.
