This is the only Shalamar hit with lead singer Gerald Brown, who replaced their original frontman, Gary Mumford, for their second album, Disco Gardens. On their next album, Brown was swapped out for Howard Hewett, who became a mainstay, joining original members Jeffrey Daniel and Jody Watley.
