James Sinclair Ross, CM (January 22, 1908 – February 29, 1996) was a Canadian banker and author, who wrote novels and short fiction about life on the Canadian Prairies. He is best known for his first novel, As For Me and My House.

Professor Ross Sinclair (born 1966 in Glasgow) is a Scottish visual artist, musician and writer. He lives and works in Kilcreggan , Argyll and is currently Reader in Contemporary Art Practice at The Glasgow School of Art , [1] whilst also maintaining his professional practice.
James Sinclair Ross, writer (b at Shellbrook, Sask 22 Jan 1908; d at Vancouver, BC 29 Feb 1996). Ross was one of Canada's most respected writers, in particular for his acclaimed novel, As for me and my House. Shortly after Ross was born, his family separated, and "Jimmy" was raised by his mother.
