The Anna Scher Theatre is an independent and co-educational performing arts school based in Islington, Greater London. It was founded in 1968 by Anna Scher. It is considered among the first schools of its kind geared towards working class students.

Scher established the Anna Scher Theatre in 1975. The theatre was distinctive for its lack of auditions and lengthy waiting list, which at one point reached 5,000 names. [1] In 2000, Scher experienced severe depression and stepped back from her role at the theatre.

Venue: Saint Silas Church Pentonville, Penton Street, London, N1 9UL. Acting Classes: Drop in classes: Tuesdays - Juniors (6 - 11 years old) 4.30pm - 6pm at £7.50 per class. Wednesdays - Secondary (11 - 16 years old ) 4.30pm - 6pm at £7.50 per class. Fridays - Adults (16+ no upper limit) 7.45pm - 9.45pm at £10 per class.
