  1. Agharta is a 1975 live double album by American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis. By the time he recorded the album, Davis was 48 years old and had alienated many in the jazz community while attracting younger rock audiences with his radical electric fusion music.

  2. Agharta and Pangaea are two double-disc live recordings from 1975both recorded on the same day, February 1 in the same venue—and serve multiple roles in Miles’ catalog. Together they represent a bookend to arguably the most prolific and musically restless period of Miles’ career.

  3. 11 de ene. de 2010 · Michael Henderson, bass. Pete Cosey, guitar, synths, percussion. Al Foster, drums; Reggie Lucas, guitar. Mtume, conga, percussion, water drum, rhythm box. 4. Agharta's probably a little more accessible since it has more than one broken-up track. Love everything Miles recorded in the 70s except Get Up With It (controversial opinion, I know), Black Beauty and In Concert (the 1973 double live album).

  5. Agharta. Miles Davis. Released August 1975. Agharta Tracklist. 1. Prelude (Part 1) Lyrics. 2. Prelude (Part 2) Lyrics. 3. Maiysha Lyrics. 4. Interlude Lyrics. 5. Theme from Jack Johnson Lyrics....

  6. Imagine Agharta as a primordial soup: a young earth trying to survive & grow. Miles orbits the planet, firing death rays at it from his Yamaha space station. That's the dynamic here. Yet this unlikely blend of avant-garde voodoo funk works!

  7. Electric bassist whose career began with Stevie Wonder and included playing in the bands of other R&B/soul legends (Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, others); recorded and performed with Miles from 1970-1976, and was key member of his 1970-1971 sextet. Standout Track. Playlist. Pop-up Player.
