The beat-savvy layers may be handled by session pro Kenny Aronoff and drum programmer George Black--Curtis does supply pizza box percussion on "I Don't Cry Anymore"--but they blend sympathetically with Curtis's percussive guitar work and Bittan's spacious piano- and mandolin-rich production.
Catie Curtis (born May 22, 1965) is an American singer-songwriter working primarily in the folk rock idiom. Her most recent album recording, The Raft, was released in 2020.
Kenneth D. Aronoff (born March 7, 1953) is an American drummer originally from Massachusetts. He has played in backing bands for singers such as John Mellencamp and John Fogerty, plus session work on many albums and TV shows. [3] He has taught drumming at the college level and owns a recording studio as well.
I first heard Catie Curtis when a friend gave me a tape with From Years to Hours on one side and Truth From Lies on the other. The Truth From Lies side got the most play, and I still think it's one of Catie's best albums.
