In September 1969 Myron Pollock decided to leave the group and the former drummer for the Moonrakers and the Surfin' Classics, Bob MacVittie, was recruited.

CORBETTA formed the band as CHOCOLATE HAIR and recruited guitarist Rob WEBBER, bassist Bob RAYMOND, rhythm guitarist Veeder VAN DORN III, and drummer Bob MACVITTE. The band started playing psychedelic pop songs and began to integrate heavy blues rock music into their sound.
