Charles-Wilfrid de Bériot (12 February 1833 – 22 October 1914) was a French pianist, teacher and composer.

Nacido en París, alumno de Sigismund Thalberg, futuro profesor de la Escuela Niedermeyer y del Conservatorio de París, Bériot fue un pianista de alcance europeo, dueño de una técnica impecable, pero privado de los dones de la creación.

Charles-Wilfrid de Beriot was a Belgian violinist and composer who lived in the 19th century. He was born on February 20, 1802, in Leuven, Belgium. Beriot started playing violin at an early age and quickly showed great promise.
And again, an 1841 date of composition would establish Charles-Auguste as the composer, as too early for his son Charles-Wilfrid- if only, if only there were some hint of proof (as of now, not even evidence. or even more than bold and bald assertion) for the claim.
