Dave Stahlberg The Ides of March is an American jazz rock [1] band that had a major US and minor UK hit with the song " Vehicle " in 1970. After going on hiatus in 1973, the band returned with their original line-up in 1990 and has been active since then.
Dave Stahlberg retired from the band, and trombone player Henry Salgado joined in his place. 2016: The Ides are featured in the premiere episode of Public Television’s “SOUNDSTAGE” (American Garage). Jim Peterik co-hosts the show, and The Ides are the “House Band”.
The Ides of March es una banda estadounidense de jazz rock, creada en 1964 por Jim Peterik, que consiguió un éxito mundial con el tema Vehicle (Vehículo), en 1970 que llegaría al N°2 de las listas estadounidenses de Billboard Hot 100. Tras haber desaparecido en 1973, volvió a reunirse, con la formación original, en 1990, continuando hasta hoy.
David Ståhlberg grew up in the little town Mariefred in Sweden, by Lake Mälaren and Gripsholm Castle. His father was a scientist and professor in analytical chemistry, his mother a passionate reader and humanist, speaking seven languages.
