Jason Curtis Newsted (Battle Creek, Míchigan; 4 de marzo de 1963) es un músico estadounidense, conocido por haber sido el bajista de la banda estadounidense de thrash metal Metallica, desde 1986 hasta su renuncia en 2001.

"Jason was overlooked," Ulrich told us in 2003.
