Sophia Domancich (born 25 January 1957) is a French pianist and jazz composer. [1] Life and Work [ edit] Domancich began learning piano at the age of six and attended the Conservatoire de Paris from 1968 to 1975 where she won first prize for piano and chamber music. [2]

Sophia Domancich. France. Sophia Domancich began her musical studies at the age of six. She graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with a first prize in piano and a first prize in chamber music. She discovered jazz and improvisation with Steve Lacy and Laurent Cugny, who invited her to join his big band Lumière.
