14 de jun. de 2012 · I like how each bass player finds their own sound within the music of Holdsworth. It didn't seem to me like Allan wanted every guy to just to the Jimmy Johnson thing. Very cool. I could also go on forever about Allan's unbelievable taste in drummers. Novak, Vinnie, Chad Wackerman, etc. amazing players!

"If This Bass Could Only Talk" is a 1989 album by Stanley Clarke. Allan plays guitar on one track: a few unusal clean staccato lines on the intro, as well as a nice guitar solo on the pop tinged fusion number “Stories To Tell”.

The band UK, with Holdsworth, Bill Bruford and John Wetton from King Crimson, and Roxy Music’s Eddie Jobson, had great potential but the original lineup fell apart pretty quickly...
