Drummer Ron Keeley left the band in 2004 after the band's poor performance at The Azkena Festival in Spain, and was temporarily replaced by Nik Reith, formerly of the Celibate Rifles, Tumbleweed, the New Christs and the Deniz Tek Group.

19 de jul. de 2017 · Ex-Navy apprentice and drummer Ron Keeley was living there with Younger and Tek needed a bed. They gave him the only space available – the cupboard under the stairs. Tek invited classically-trained pianist Kim Hoyle – another medical student – to join the new outfit with Younger and Keeley.

It was there that he met drummer Ron Keeley, who introduced him to future Birdman singer Rob Younger. The latter pair had their own band, The Rats, who were playing the sort of music Tek loved.
