William Edward Ritchie (born 20 April 1944) is a Scottish keyboard player and composer. Formerly a member of The Satellites, The Premiers, 1-2-3, and Clouds. He is generally acknowledged as being the first keyboard player in rock music to stand and take a leading role, thereby providing a model for others such as Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman.
William Ritchie (11 September 1936 – 10 March 2016) was a Scottish professional footballer who was best known for his time with Rangers. Ritchie started his career at local side Bathgate Thistle before moving to Rangers in 1955.

William Hill, known professionally as Billie Ritchie (5 September 1874 – 6 July 1921), was a Scottish comedian who first gained transatlantic fame as a performer for British music hall producer Fred Karno — thus, a full decade before Stan Laurel and Charlie Chaplin took a similar career path.
He was the first rock keyboardist to take a leading role in on-stage performances. He put his Hohner Clavinet on stilts so that he could stand out front while playing instead of sitting, which was traditional for keyboard players at the time. With this innovation, he made keyboards a featured instrument.
