Jeff Greinke (b. 1959) is an American ambient music and jazz artist and composer currently based in Tucson, Arizona. He is known as one of the pioneers of dark ambient music, with his earlier solo albums often compared to works by Robert Rich, Brian Eno, and Vidna Obmana.
From the seclusion of his studio, Jeff Greinke has been making music for use in film, dance and performance art. The album Soundtracks (67'13") compiles six commissions which are fully realized ambient works in and of themselves.
He has composed music for film, video, dance, theatre, radio, and art installations. His music was used as the soundtrack for the trailer of Ron Howard's film "The Missing". Jeff has toured throughout the United States and Europe and has performed in China, Canada, and Mexico.
