After releasing his third album and fourth albums, "Lessons in Love" (2008) and "King of Hearts" (2011), Lloyd took some time away from music to focus on family and school. He reemerged in 2016 with "Tru," an intimate bluesy record that revealed a lot of the artists' thoughts, feelings, and struggles.
