In the meantime Sunna released 2 albums, the first was 2002's "Fagra Veröld" (music written to Icelandic poetry), featuring Gress and McLemore as well as the voice of Kristjana Stefánsdóttir and saxophonist Sigurdur Flosason. The 2nd was 2003's high-energy "Live in Europe" which rode the jazz charts into the top 10 in both the US and Canada.
Drew Gress (born November 20, 1959) is an American jazz double-bassist and composer born in Trenton, New Jersey and raised in the Philadelphia area. Biography. Gress studied at Towson State University and Manhattan School of Music.
Drew Gress. New York bassist Drew Gress became increasingly visible in contemporary improvised music throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In the late ’80s, he co-founded the quartet Joint Venture, which released three albums on Enja spanning 1987-1994.Later, Gress led his own N.Y.-based quartet, Jagged Sky, who released their debut, Heyday, in 1998 on Soul Note.
