The playing of Jay Bennett - another great musician who died too soon - must also be highlighted. His production, organ, melodic basslines, and numerous electric and acoustic guitar overdubs color the songs, and jibe well with Keene's own superb electric guitar playing and singing.

There’s no twang to be found here, but that hardly diminishes the significance of this underappreciated artist.
