Cacciatore: The Hunter (Italian: Il cacciatore) is an Italian television series based on the autobiographical book Cacciatore di mafiosi by magistrate Alfonso Sabella. It originally aired on Rai 2 in March 2018.

1 de dic. de 2020 · The Hunter is based on the book Il Cacciatore di Mafiosi, by prosecutor Alfonso Sabella, who actually did hunt down and arrest up to 300 gangsters in Sicily in the 90’s. Here, Sabella is dramatized in the character of Severio Barone.
Overview. The story of Saverio Barone, a young prosecutor who in the early nineties became the protagonist of the “caccia alla Mafia” (Mafia-hunt) immediately following the Capaci and Via D'Amelio bombings. Inspired by the true story of the anti-Mafia magistrate Alfonso Sabella.
