Chigwell School is a co-educational independent boarding and day school. It is a private school, and not a Public School, which is a common misconception. It is located in Chigwell, in the Epping Forest district of Essex. It consists of a Pre Prep (ages 4–7), Prep School (ages 7–11), Senior School (ages 11–16) and Sixth Form.
At Chigwell, we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly approach and take time to get to know future pupils and their families well. We are a selective school but we do our best to make the assessment process as comfortable and enjoyable as possible – we want to see applicants at their best.
Chigwell School is an academically selective independent school for boys and girls between the ages of four and eighteen. The foundation of the School is Anglican and a Christian ethos is maintained, but pupils and staff are welcomed from many different ethnic and religious backgrounds.
