The Motors were a British pub rock band formed in London in 1977 by former Ducks Deluxe members Nick Garvey and Andy McMaster together with guitarist Rob Hendry (who was replaced in May 1977 by Bram Tchaikovsky) and drummer Ricky Slaughter.

Electric guitarist Rob Hendry was brought in at the last minute to replace him for the recording sessions of June and July 1972, and left the band soon after the album was completed. [3]
The Motors then consisted of Nick Garvey (lead vocals, guitars), Andrew McMaster (bass, keyboards, vocals), Ricky Slaughter (drums) and Rob Hendry (guitar, vocals). Soon afterwards Hendry was replaced by Bram Tchaikovsky. The new line-up began touring with the Heavy Metal Kids in June 1977.
21 de nov. de 2022 · In his place, Rob Hendry handles the guitar. In contrast to the later albums, Renaissance did not use an orchestra here. The opening track Prologue begins, like many Renaissance songs, with a piano solo. Gradually the other instruments join in, with the piano always dominating. Annie Haslam provides beautiful textless vocals.
