Review by Mellotron Storm. PROG REVIEWER. THE SCIENCE GROUP was formed by Chris Cutler and Stevan Tickmayer back in 1997 and this is their debut album from 1999. With musicians like Fred Frith and Bob Drake helping out you know this is going to be great.
The Science Group were an avant-rock group founded in France in 1997 by English drummer Chris Cutler from Henry Cow and Yugoslav contemporary classical composer and keyboardist Stevan Tickmayer. They released A Mere Coincidence, an album of songs on science related topics in 1999, and an instrumental album, Spoors in 2003.
A Mere Coincidence fue publicado a finales de 1999 en el sello de Cutler, Recommended Records. el grupo permaneció adormecido hasta 2002, cuando reapareció como cuarteto, con Cutler, Tickmayer, Drake y Mike Johnson (también de Thinking Plague) para grabar su segundo disco, Spoors.
