Scott Ginn. Cheetah were an Australian hard rock band, active between 1976 and 1984. The mainstay members and co-lead vocalists were English-born sisters, Chrissie and Lyndsay Hammond. They released their only album, Rock & Roll Women, in April 1982.
History. Formation and early years: 1975–1980. Air Supply's founding members met on 12 May 1975, [2] while rehearsing for the Australian production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. [3] [4] Chrissie Hammond portrayed Mary Magdalene, while Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell were in the chorus. [5] .

But Chrissie Hammond, the dark-haired sister in ’80s double-act Cheetah, thinks the fire is missing from many acts of today.
Hammond, Chrissie (1956-Present) She is a singer who joined up with the singers Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock and helped form the band Air Supply in 1976. She left the band before their first Australian hit and went on to form Cheetah which toured with U2, Jackson Browne, Gary Moore and Neil Young. They disbanded in 1987.
