Beatitudes is an album by saxophonist and composer Bobby Watson and double bassist Curtis Lundy. It was recorded on April 11, 1983, at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and was released on vinyl later that year by New Note Records. In 1997, the album was reissued on CD by Evidence Music.

At 66, alto saxophonist Bobby Watson will tell you he’s much more interested in the zero-pretense ethos that doubles as the title of his new album. “After you’ve lived a certain period of time you want to try to be yourself. The last two years I've been doing a lot by myself because during these times I find Bobby Watson, guest artist, is worth more than Bobby Watson, bandleader.
